Fall meeting 23rd of November on Anomaly Detection

TomEvents, News

We are excited to announce that our next fall meeting will take place Thursday, the 23rd of November, 2023. The venue location will be in the area of Amsterdam and to be determined soon. We will have an afternoon program from 12:00 to 18:00, starting with a lunch and ending with drinks. Next to talks of invited speakers and selected abstracts, the program will include an official NVPHBV members meeting. The topic of our fall meeting 2023 will be Anomaly Detection.

Call for Abstracts

Anomaly detection (also referred to as outlier detection) is the identification of rare observations in data that deviate significantly from normal. It finds applications in many areas, such as cyber security, medicine, machine vision, statistics, and neuroscience. Machine learning techniques play an increasing role in anomaly detection (supervised, semi-supervised and unsupervised).

For the coming NVPHBV Fall Meeting, we invite you to submit abstracts on your research in the field of anomaly detection (in a broad sense).

Abstracts
You are invited to submit your abstract (max. 1 A4 plus 1 or 2 illustrations) for a short oral or poster presentation. Please submit your abstract as PDF to secretary@nvphbv.nl. You will receive a notice of acceptance a few weeks before the meeting, 2023.

Proceedings
This is the second time the abstracts for a NVPHBV meeting will be published in online proceedings, i.e. they are referable and count as a publication. Upon request by the authors, a full paper or the abstract may appear in online proceedings. Work under review elsewhere can be submitted as well and presented work can be published elsewhere without restrictions (copy left).

Awards
It is our pleasure to announce that this year we will have a best-abstract award of €200.
